Commercial electrical / Dunedin & Otago

Planned electrical maintenance.

If a pump stops or a board needs attention, the site manager needs to know what can wait until the next shutdown and what needs action now. We scope recurring electrical work around your equipment, operating hours and access.

What needs regular attention?

A workshop, a retail building and a depot have different consequences when something fails.

01

Switchboards and essential plant

Identify boards, motors, pumps and loads that would stop the site. Thermal imaging can form part of a visit where the equipment and operating load make it useful. Record which items could be inspected and which need a shutdown.

02

Lighting, equipment and chargers

Scope emergency lighting checks, equipment testing and EV charger inspections against the installed assets and the requirements that apply to that site. Agree who maintains the charging hardware, communications and software.

03

One site or several

Start with the buildings, access contacts, asset lists and previous reports. Flag recurring faults and visits that could be combined. For sites outside Dunedin, include travel and mobilisation in the price.

A switchboard scan with a written result.

At one industrial site we scanned the switchboards and sent the customer a report with thermal images and temperature observations. The boards were within acceptable operating temperatures under the load present at the time of inspection.

A later shift may put different loads on the same boards. That’s why we record what was running and what needs another look.

What goes in the agreement?

01

Visits and records

List the sites and assets, the visit windows, agreed checks and who receives the report. Record defects, their priority, the last action and who owns the next one.

02

Call-outs and repairs

Agree how to report a fault, the hours covered, authorisation limits, travel and any response commitments. Separate planned visits from breakdown labour, materials and repairs needing approval.

03

Review and renewal

At the review date, compare visits completed, repeat faults, work awaiting approval and changes to the asset list. Reprice changes before rolling them into the next period.

A fault happening now?

For an immediate service enquiry, ring the Dunedin team to discuss availability. For a maintenance proposal, send your asset list and the hours the site can release each area.
